Drug & Alcohol Misuse at Work

Employers have a legal responsibility to safeguard the health, safety, and wellbeing of their employees.

Recognising the signs of drug and alcohol misuse can help you effectively manage workplace health and safety risks, develop a clear policy to address substance-related issues, and provide the appropriate support for your team.

Drug & Alcohol Misuse in the Workplace – 3-Hour Training for Teams and Management

This practical short course is designed to equip staff, supervisors, and senior management with the knowledge and confidence to address drug and alcohol misuse in the workplace.

Participants will learn how to recognise the signs of substance misuse, approach sensitive conversations with employees, and understand the implications for safety-critical roles such as operating machinery, driving vehicles, or transporting goods and clients.

The session also covers how to develop and implement an effective workplace policy, how to provide meaningful support to affected employees, and what your legal obligations are under Australian employment law.

This training is essential for any organisation committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace.
